We have tulips!!

Doug planted them 2 falls ago when we found out we were pregnant! I wanted them to bloom around Iris's birth! And they did!!!! Now, each year when they peak up from the ground and bloom, Iris will know her birthday is near!!!

It was pretty great to take her picture with them this year!!!

Enjoying the sun!

Iris and I took a sheet out and tried to find some shade to enjoy this warm day but since it's summer in march, there are no leaves on the trees yet so we found a small shaded area under a straggly pine tree haha. It worked and we enjoyed some time outside!!!

Sun bonnet kind of day!

Iris and I went on a nice walk! It's 70 out and sunny in March! We both have capris on! A perfect day!

Peek-a-boo with grandma

On Sunday, my mom, her husband, and my grandma came to town to visit and play with iris! It was fun! We grilled out and iris kept them busy! She thought it was great fun playing peek-a-boo around her puffs contained with her great grandma! She also gave her lots of hugs and smiles!!!

Iris is 11 months today!!!

I cannot believe it! This year is flying by and we are just 4 weeks away from her 1st birthday!!!

Today we celebrated by pretending to drink from momma's coffee cup! She thinks this is good fun and you can see the rotten look in her eyes in the picture!! She wants to have everything we have and it's so fun to see her explore!

Iris's birthday theme inspiration

This picture is our theme for Iris's 1st birthday! I wanted to do April showers theme but we are struggling with finding any inspiration and decorations. The birdie theme is so "iris" and one we love so Doug found this picture with a lot of other decoration and food ideas and we think it will be so cute!

The party is on sunday, April 1st and the location is still in the works =).
