Some Halloween Fun!
Halloween is so much fun!!!

And we did a little dress up and went to boo at the zoo this weekend!

We all had the best time but Iris really enjoyed herself! She was brave and went through the boo house and got a bunch of candy! I think she's really going to enjoy trick-or-treating on Thursday!!

Gym Extreme!
The girls from work decided to take the kiddos to open gym yesterday and it was so much fun!!! It was only 1 hr but I felt that was plenty of time b/c Iris was pretty worn out afterwards!! Halfway through, she told me, "momma, no go home!" haha She had a blast!
There were many trampolines so she was busy jumping!
Behind her is a giant pit with foam blocks you can jump in. She was very unimpressed with that =)

Doing this really showed us Iris would really enjoy gymnastics!! Can't wait to start in December!

life lately!
It's been awhile since I blogged on here. Partially due to our lack of a computer. Our ipad does some things but blogging has been difficult. We bought a new laptop yesterday and we are back in business!!!
Other than that, we are doing well! Iris has been growing by the minute and has been so busy. We are working on potty training and she is doing well!!! We still have our moments when she will pee in a pull-up or have an "accident" on the floor but we praise each moment as a learning opportunity! We have been having so much fun with her! We are working on learning numbers, letters, and shapes. She amazes me by how much she picks up!!!
She has been enjoying reading, coloring, playing outside, running, and playing with her babies. She is such a good little momma!!!
As for Doug and I, we have been busy working and our jobs are going great! We are still adjusting to my "night" shift life and as much as I hate it, it's working for us. I enjoy only working for 3 days and sleep deprivation is getting easier. I feel like I have jet lag all the time but we deal with it. It's about a 2 year waiting list to get to days so I have no choice! I am feeling more comfortable helping delivery babies and I don't have a panic attack before work like I used to! haha It's hard to believe I have been in labor & delivery for 8 months now!!!! I love it. I'm actually really good at my job and try to get the babies out as fast as I can! The doctor's are always very appreciate and that makes it easier. It's still VERY intense and sad at times but overall, the moments are so amazing! I still get a little choked up at the birth moment when that baby in born and the parents cry! I just have to keep busy and focus on my job making sure mom is ok, baby is ok, and assisting the doctor. I do love it and I am thankful for my job!

Iris' birthday day!
Iris' "castle" as she calls it
Iris is 2!!!!
Her birthday night we celebrated at spaghetti warehouse where they sang to her then back home for cake with her auntie BB and uncle J! Her big party is this Saturday, April 13!
We took her for her 2 year check-up and she did great!!! Minus the shot! She had her 2nd dose of hepatitis A. She kept saying "ouch" and even walked with a stiff leg a little haha. We had to keep the bandaid on for over 24 hrs bc she would freak anytime we would get close to her!!! Drama queen! I added a picture of her with her Solomon (her favorite book is Solomon the crocodile! Who knew my girlie girl would love a crocodile!!! So he had a bandaid too!
She now weighs 23lbs and 14 oz! Head 18.78" and height 2'8.5"!!
Still a peanut but perfect in every way!!!
After her appointment we took her to the chocolate cafe for some chocolate milk!! Yum!
She is in some 18month clothes but mostly 24-2t. Size 5 shoes! Size 4 diapers or the same one-size bum genius cloth diapers! She sleeps from 8pm to about 7:30-8am!! (Thank you!!) and takes about a 2-2.5hr nap a day!!! She is a very picky eater but we try to get as much down her! She is more of an all day snacker than a big meal girl! Loves her fruit, carbs, and cheese haha.
She talks up a storm and says more phrases with 3-5 words in them! She can count to 13 perfectly but knows up to 19!! Not sure where she learned that bc we have been working on colors and counting to maybe 5 and she starts counting fruit with her nana and counted all the way to 13!!! My mouth hit the floor!!! She is going to be a bright one!!! Maybe a future RN or DR!!! Her head was always the biggest thing on her and I always said it housed her big beautiful brains =)
We love you so, my love bug!!!! These have been the best years of our lives and enjoy watching you grow each day!!!!

I'm 30!!!
Anywho...today is my birthday and I'm unsure how I feel about being 30 but this sassy girl has made the day pretty special for me! We have played outside, had a dance party in our pjs and snuggled on the couch!! A perfect day if you ask me!!! And now I get to head into work and help bring a baby into this world so we can share a birthday!!! =)
